Visit Afghanistan is an independent, non-commercial reference site. We have deliberately kept it simple: the site does not track you, does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and does not build any profile of its visitors. This page explains the little data that is involved and how to contact us.

What we collect

Browsing the site

Nothing that identifies you. We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and we do not set any cookies that follow you around. You can read every page without accepting anything or leaving any trace with us.

Like any website, our host keeps standard server logs (for example, the type of request and a general region) for security and reliability. These are routine technical records, not used to identify individuals.

When you email us

Getting in touch

If you email contact@visitafghanistan.info, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you choose to write. We use this only to reply to you and to help plan a trip if that’s what you’ve asked about. We don’t add you to any mailing list, and we don’t share your message with anyone outside this project.

Links to other sites

External links

Some pages link to other websites — for example, the official Afghan e-visa portal and airline or booking sites. Once you leave this site, their own privacy practices apply, not ours. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, how those sites handle your data.

Your rights

Your data

Because we hold nothing beyond the emails you send us, there is very little to manage. If you have emailed us and would like us to delete your message and your details from our inbox, just ask and we will.
